6th Generation Maxima NEWS! and the american Skyline

Ok, i know i'm a newbie. I went to the New England Autoshow recently and i got talking to the nissan guys about the future of the maxima and the skyline. they said that this year (2002) would be the last year for the maxima. I said "WHAT"! they said well the maxima u and i know, b/c the 2003+ will have a V8 and 350hp and be more of a family sedan and luxerious, much like the Q45, ( it will look jut like it, only with a nissan edge). They told me it i was still interested in the V6 we all have come to love to look at the new altima b/c it's only gonna get better and evolove into the maxima we all know. So they ae giving the ,maxima and 8. also Infinity has a model comoing out in the spring of 2002, the G35 i think. It is a skyline only with infinity badging ( can be fixed . Personlly i think i'll be more likly to purchase one of thoese before a Q45 or NEw Altima

Exactly. It's gonna be an Infiniti.($$$). I wished the Max would head more in the direction of the V-8 Camaro's, 'Stangs, ect. Those are some very affordable powerful cars. And the great thing would be that the Maxima would have something they didn't. Reliability, quality, ect.

When the day comes when the Maxima becomes a Jap Muscle car, then I'll be happy.

You guys are confusing the Skyline with the Skyline GT-R.

BIG difference.

Infiniti G35 (called Nissan Skyline in Japan) will be a four door sports sedan, 255 HP, RWD, independent suspension, and tons of other stuff...go to FreshAlloy.com for the latest news.

The GT-R concept is the next generation Skyline GT-R, now only called by GT-R to differentiate it from the Skyline sedan.

That pretty much sums it up. But you know what? It's built on a shorter platform than the Max (by 4-5 inches), but has a longer wheelbase (by 3-4 inches). I'm not sure on those numbers, but I know it's a fact. There's also possiblity of AWD in future models (maybe 6 months-1 year after initial release? BIG MAYBE). Check the FreshAlloy forums.

Just the basics, no A/C, NO XTRA STEREO WEIGHT, AND TIME. PORTED .010 EXHAUST PORTS, POLISHED OF COURSE. PUT A CERAMIC COATING ON THE INTAKE MANIFOLD IN THE PORTS AND BAKED IT IN THE OVEN AT 500 DEGREES FOR 2 HOURS WHEN MY GIRLFRIEND WAS AT WORK (CAUTION!!! NEVER BAKE ENGINE PARTS YOUR WOMAN IS HOME, JUST TAKE MY WORD FOR IT.) step over stock cam from crane cams and BORLA BOOMER exhaust system with 3 inch pipe to muffler & a 4 1/2 inch outlet. zero gap piston rings. this baby breathes very well.
