Rear Window spoiler (how do you stick it on)

How do you have your Rear Window Spoiler stuck on?

Right now I have mine taped with 2 - sided tape. The 3m stuff. I was wondering if that is going to be good enough.

I bought windshield glue, but it wouldn't stick on properly. It took like an hour to dry, and I didn't want to wait there and hold it.

I am just wondering if I should take if off during the winter months? Or If I stick it on once, would I need to take it off.

The 3m adhesive is pretty strong and durable. If you got the automotive adhesive then I wouldn't be worried about it coming off. I used 3m tape to hold on my visors, and they have withstood the excruciating texas heat with no problems.

make sure you use the red 3m tape and not the green backed ones. The red is more sticky

White,

JS is right but the tape you want isn't itself red. The film that's gotta be peeled off is red. The tape itself is grey. I've never seen the green filmed stuff so I'll have take his word for that.

Be sure to get the grey tape with the red film. There's also a clear tape with a red film... it's only good for very light, mostly interior applications. The grey/red stuff should serve you well.

I've used it (the red/grey stuff) in a number of automotive applications, some that were subject to direct wind/air speeds and all and it's never let me down. Remember this though when and if you wanna remove it. That's quite a job.

Here's two products that will work just fine:

CAUTION: If you decide to use this one the liklihood that you'll ever be ble to get it back off is very very low. http://www.3mestore.com/70006429198....KU=75346882337

Also, apply some 3m adhesive promoter before using the tape. Helps the tape stick better.

Be sure to clean the glass surfaces thoroughly, then wipe the areas the tape will stick to with some rubbing alcohol, for better cleaning. This will allow a better bond!
