What should I expect?

I have never raced anything in my life besides my mustangs. What should I expect out of my 2001 I30. I only have Injen CAI and suspension work. Also should I leave it in drive and let it do the shifting? I have also never raced an automatic before lmao. Any help would be much appreciated. I am going to be going to Mason Dixon Dragway on the next street night and running in the import class. As long as I beat one of them fuggers I will be happy

Put your stock wheels back on before you go to the track.

Put your stock intake back on and do the GAB mod before you go as well.

GAB is short for "ghetto air box." Look it up in the 5th gen. Maxima section.

Does that really do anything to 3.0s? I thought it was only the 3.5 that it did anything special and for the 3.0s it just made some noise.

If it makes less of a difference, it's because of the difference in displacement I'd guess. They use the same exact intake design, so what helps one should help the other as well. Either way, I can't see it hurting anything. He'd be getting the cool noise of the Injen without sacrificing performance by sucking in hot air.

If they are tracks then it won't be too bad--they're about 18lbs apiece iirc.

I would be happy with 15's. I just want to run it on the street nights in the import classes. If I wanna go fast I have the cobra
