Exclamation My 99 SE-Limited mods

Well today i did my first mods to the car. I must say more are coming!

First ill introduce you guys to the car since I have never taken many pictures on here for others to see!

1999 maxima
SE Limited
67,xxx miles
Autotragic (posssibly a 5-speed coming in the future)
Sterling mist exterior
Black leather interior
15% tints all the way around
Heated and powered SE seats
Its 100% fully loaded more or less

Here are really my first mods i did today aside from the tint...

Burger removal! (did not match the maxima logo so it had to go)

Then the side vinyl went... It gives the car a unique look if you ask me. Im still unsure if i like it or not.

(before)

Upcoming mods will be a paradox type x spoiler to replace my broken stock one. I'll also be getting a new grille considering my SE has a silver GXE grille in it. Ugly as hell. And If im very lucky we will see a drop or a 5speed coming.

Im going to order the spoiler tomorrow. So I take it paradox-systems.com is a pretty reputable website and I should have no problems getting my spoiler?

Actually at second glance it has 54,000 on it... I always have my trip odometer on to see how much my tank gets. So i never check the odometer. But I purchased it with 46,000 miles on it about 2 years ago. Got it for 7k-8k ish$. I think it was a fair deal, it has been in a wreck before i bought it but the carfax does not indicate so. It was small enough not to deploy the airbags. But my SE does have a ugly silver grille in it. Im not sure if it was a deal or not but i thought it was!

very nice purchase. can't believe the low mileage though. mines getting sooo old.

1. get a grey matte grille off of ebay and paint it SE body color.
2. drop it like its hot
3. clear bumper lights
4. red/clear tails
5. rims

and

6. screw the 5 spd, get a suprastick!

hint: take it out of the garage to take photos of the car

oh, and repaint those calipers to black or silver. You don't want your puny stock calipers to be seen easily...it's embarassing

Haha well the previous owner thought it would be cool to paint various parts of the car blue. So I have two blue lower controll arms to match my super sweet calipers But the paint is chipping off anyways. I dont really care much about that. If anything a subtle red would look nice.

But grille wise i was thinking more along the lines of painting a trendz grille the body color. I think that would look really cool. I was also considering a new muffler. But most importantly I need a spoiler thats actually going to be capable of being attached to the trunk. My current one is held on by 1 screw. Some idiot pushed my car by the spoiler and really messed it up.

I think you need to scrub on that burger some more with bug and tar remover. Don't leave it looking like something was suppose to be there but fell off.

What's with the dash carpet? Never seen that before.

Huh? It's just the paint fading...Im sure it will go away in a little.

I have the dash carpet because my dash has a hole where someone stabbed it with a knife. Its actually not that noticable but i just put it on during the summer so the dash can stay a bit cooler. Colorado summer with an all black interior sucks! But the carpet also helps the cord for my radar detector be more concealed.

But there is a guy selling the clear bumper lights for 40$. I might have to jump on that.

I live in littleton (south denver)

So long story short. I got some clear turn signals. Buy the correct 1156 turn lightbulbs in amber and take the beast apart. What the hell. My drivers side signal uses a ****in 7440 lightbulb. It was because some dumbass cut coners cut corners while fixing the car where it got hit along time ago. so i had to go back and search 3 stores to find an amber 7440 bulb. They are nearly impossible to find, no-one carries them except in blue and other ricer colors. I finally got them and **** 11$ for 2. I got the 1156 bulbs for like 4$ for 2. Anyways i had to do some drilling and stuff to fix the mess up but here is the before and after!

(****in 7440 connector and bulb)
