Need help on Brakes
Need help on Brakes
I have a 97 SE, And I go through brakes fast.. Mainly cause I haul butt ever where go. But I was thinking about installing the brake set up from the 300ZX, But I don't know what year to get them off of. And I'm not sure if they would just be a bolt on thing.
Has anyone ever done this? And if so what do I look for and how do they install bolt on or some modifications?
Thanks for you help!

Someone did this a while back; do a search. IIRC, You will have to do a little milling on the steering knuckles and there is a clearance issue with some wheels.
What brake pads are you using? I have had great success with Porterfield R4S's and Bendix Titanium metallics. I have autocrossed with both and find that they are much better than stock pads; much less fade. When I switched to the Porterfields, I still had ~40K left on the Bendix's.

Haven't selected a brand of brake pads yet.. How long did it take you to complete this project ?
