Conversion to RWD? With the right amount of money anything is possible. I doubt 3k is the right amount of money (get ready for some flameage on that one ). Most people will probably suggest first you got all maintenance up to date then look at making upgrades. Maybe start with the basic performance upgrades: intake, headers, ypipe, exhaust. Or if you prefer some cosmetic mods (bodykit, etc.) But hey, it's your money... do as you please.

I would start by donating to the org. Then do lots of research. Not sure what kinds of mods you would like to do. There again, try some searching.

Unless you plan on buying some parts made out of 24k gold, it's not going to be an investment.

Humm, buy a whickedly crashed later-model foxbody stang, part out what you can like the interior, and use the remainder to buy a few welders. Or send me a nice little deposit and I'll build you a cammed out ready to drop in 3.5

Don't waste it on a 10 year old car.
Save it for the expenses that are coming

$3K...god I wish I had that kind of money. Save it.

But if you want to spend some: Get an 00VI, a good drop(Koni and ground control FTW), a custom bent exhaust(header back) and some nice OEM nissan rims.

don't put it into the max...or sell your max take that + the 3k and buy a better car. possibly a modded 4thgen already with boost. or a 5.5. thats what i would do.

I'm glad I'm not the only here that thought the same thing.

I'd invest it in Kramerica Industries.

Suspension, light wheels, good tires, and save the rest for repair/maintenance.

Here is what I would do:

1.) Check maintenance
-How long ago was your fuel filter replaced? Maybe replace it with a 300zx fuel filter - 10 bucks
-Spark plugs? another 10 bucks
-Any ghost codes in the ECU? Knock sensor could be bad, it frequently is on our cars
-How are the o2 sensors?

2.) Anything that is going out on the car that could be replaced with a performance part?
-How are your shocks and springs? If you want something better handling and your current ones are shot, maybe get some KYb AGX's and Eibach Pro-Kits
-Is your air filter clogged and dirty? Maybe get a cold air intake kit that goes into the fenderwell, ebay like 40 bucks.
-What about your suspension bushings and strut mounts?

3.) Performance upgrades
-y pipe, like 200 bucks but will give you a **** ton more high end power
-under drive pulley
-strut tower brace
-Rear sway bar
-If you are willing to shell out 500 bucks or more, maybe an 00vi or Mevi (variable intake manifolds)
-If you have a 5sp, possibly a performance clutch

Somebody's thinks logically.

Sell the old Max, take the bonus plus what you get for the old Max and put a down payment on a new(er) vehicle.

Time to upgrade!
