nice UK spec 3rd gen pics (Stu)

he's only posted here a couple times, but that's ok

http://www.btinternet.com/~d.brooks1/newstu/index.htm

very sweet car

"Alfa Romeo blue with a gold flip"

it's in England so that's why certain stuff is different (smoked corners, rear fogs, etc)

here are the old pics of his car (and mod list): http://www.btinternet.com/~d.brooks1/stuscar.htm

Beautiful car, but I liked it so much better in the darker color. The BMW headlights and smoked corners blended in much better before. If he's happy with it though, more power to him.

actually they're not just reflectors, they are rear fog lights that have a separate switch to turn them on
supposed to help drivers see you from behind (due to all of England's fog and climate)

Why does he have the intake wrapped with insulation?

It's still breathing hot air from the engine bay...

Sweet ride though

Its a strange intake configuration he has, but it appears the tubing passes directly over top of the transmission maybe?? In any case, its passing over something very hot, and by insulating the piping, he's keeping the temperature of the pipe down. This keeps the temperature of the air entering the engine from getting even hotter. Sure, its pulling in hot air, but not as hot as if the pipe was 600 degrees.
