I fought the law...
I fought the law...
...and the law won.
Went to court today to try and fight a speeding ticket I got in Alysia's car. 35 in a 25 on a downhill curvey section of a very unpopulated road that should be 35 anyway.
Long of the short, office was using Lidar, had all his ducks in a row, countered everything I could thrown at him. I was just plum beat. At least I put up a fight. All the work I made them do for a lousy $71 fine. hehe oh well... maybe next time.
BTW If you read this Hogan... I'm reallllllly sorry to hear about what happened to you and I don't even begin to think this is anywhere as near a nasty deal.
Keep on fightin them po pos

don't sweat it.... I got a ticket for 82 in a 55 7 months ago. It was my first ticket so I got off with no points and $100 fine provided I took a driver improvement BS class. The good thing is that I was clocked at 82.... I was driving no where near 82
If you go to contest a ticket and the officer shows up, you are basicly screwed.
But in one case, I had two aces: 1) cop didn't show 2) my discovery didn't show up in time for the court date so even if the cop showed, I still could have won the motion to dismiss.

)on a 65mph freeway. Got 2 points and had to pay almost $200. Damn
As far as I know, there's still defensive driving school classes. I took one a few years back.
As for the discovery, well you shoulda took it when you saw the officer. At least it would have given you another chance at him not showing up the next time.
Since when does Wa. state have the point system now?

P Dorky... yo its ok...I always get the officer on false accusations, since I take down notes on everything when I get pulled over, I come back the next day during a clear morning and take pictures of every vantage point. I cross examine the officer on his knowledge of Radar, on how it works, and his training background. If that doesn't work, then I pull out the pictures of where he was, and show all the possibilities of mis-reading, signs, power lines, opposite traffic, and always after statement or question...please remember you are under oath, and when you do answer a rebuttal, please submit evidence, and that it is dated properly so the judge and prosecutor may see...I get every cop on details they miss. Pile up enough, and the judge does a 180 in your favor, and each officer I've beaten has become a hunting partner, a fishing partner or a gun range partner, and I make allies.
As for my incident, I have no excuses, I did run, and I shouldn't have. I should've stopped, but due to my own ignorance and fear, I am paying the ultimate price of potentially losing Assassin within the next 72 hours.

Pre-meditated...brought up officers troubled record of being short on quota at the end of the month for 2 months straight, and cross refferenced his squad car, and due to his car having no radar equipment, and he had not written one summons all day he pegged me for "speeding" and "lane change w/o signalling." I got him bad, I had to ask the judge to submit this info, which is not supposed to be submitted, but the DA was interested in what I had.
Good to know a Nassau County DA, and retired Nassau County officers

Did you post this?
my last two tickets (78/65 and 52/35) I've been able to negotiate down to 5-over, NO POINTS and a hand slap fine.
Always fight your tickets. I'll pay the stupid fines, but the real scam are points and insurance rate hikes. You've got to fight that or else you'll end up paying way more than the stupid ticket fine in increased insurance premiums over the next few years.
