Weird idle and sputtering issue ( Video's inside) Help !

Ok so here's the down low..

I Did my valve cover gaskets and EGR valve gasket, front and rear, resealed the lower oil pan, and did spark plug grommets.. and changed the oil all, the whole 9 yards.

I went to start it up and now this..
I have to keep my foot on the gas to even hold idle, it sputters and it smells like gas sometimes, i checked all vac lines, and they all appear to be good and snug.

Now my question to you wonderful org'ers , can this be a spark plug issue, like a misfire? or something else? i just wanna post this cause i live like 15 miles away from an auto parts store, and i don't wanna run back and forth when i can just go there one time.. you know what i mean

Please help me!

Here's 2 videos that i uploaded so you can hear the noise, i took one of the motor, and exhaust

Sounds like a Subaru

I would triple check all the electrical connections and the vac lines. were you very careful not to drop any old gasket material or sealant into the head or the plug holes? was everything torqued down to speck?(also triple checked?) is everything hooked up to the egr correctly? did you take a picture before you started so your sure you put everything back in the right spot?(or have a fsm?) make sure all the connectors are on the coils sometimes they are hard to snap in.(I find that all the electric plugs on the max are harder than other cars to connect and disconnect and its sometimes misleading) any cel?

i just did a ECU code check

here's the following that came up
02-01 ignition signal circuit
03-04 knock sensor ( lol i know)

i was reading the stickies on the code list
it says 02-01 is supposed to show up a mis-fire code.. mine isnt showing any misfire code at all, but its misfiring really badly as you can see in the videos

im not understanding it lol
it says it might show up in a few days.. i dont have that long

Do you have any codes? Have you ruled out vacuum leaks? Check all of your gaskets and hoses in the areas you worked.

only codes that came up was the codes that i posted right above you
all vac lines are good and i double checked all gaskets and bolts, everything snugged

edit..

i got NGK's iridium from autozone,
i thought it might help.. but nope it just did the same
im pointing my fingers on the coil packs though, it seems that

try unplugging all of your coils and check for bent/broken pins and check the harness connector. then reconnect all firmly.

is it at all possible you swapped the connector for one coil with another on accident? just seems strange for something to go bad out of no where. I bet its a wrong or loose connection you somehow overlooked. it happens to the best of us and its hard to find without a second pair of eyes sometimes.

i just did a double check on all connectors, i even labeled the connectors so i wont mix and match things lol, before all of this, the car ran so smoothly, started within 2seconds, didnt sputter, or stall like it does, the sputtering seems to go away around 4k rpm and above, but you can still tell its misfiring.

but it will start up and stall within a second, doesnt hold idle if i dont have my foot on the gas, and it doesnt matter if i have my foot on the gas. it still sputters and stalls

i really apperciate you guys helping me. if i was near you guys id buy you guys some drinks

is your check engine light blinking or on steady when the car is running? you plugged the MAF sensor back in right? is the spark plug gap correct?

Might have to ground ur MAF to negative battery. I didnt stutter like urs but mine would turn off at red lights and this solved it.

the stuttering is from my spark plugs i'm pretty sure..Mine doesn't turn off at red lights it just makes that sound all the time which is so annyoing..could it be an idler pulley?

update: brought it to my mechanic who i used to work for..told me he has to hear it from on the lift, wants to take off all the belts and see exactly where it's coming from.. he said if it's not the belts it could be from the alternator...I'm never buying another used car unless its from the original owner..the lady who had the car before me must have beat the living s#!7 out of it..

Mine does it to, I'll try to figure it out too. If I do figure it out, I'll be sure to post it here (if I remember). I need to get my knock sensor replaced though.
