NICE i don't know..but i think you should get an aftermarket cat rather then drive guttted. I think it was said that a gutted cat creates air restriction. Nice times I think your car has a lot left in it for n/a. Improve your 60' somehow and you would be sitting with a nice timeslip. Pretty good times tho.

Yea something about a gutted cat creating a TON of turbulence in the exhaust stream. A test pipe or installing a sleeve in the gutted OEM cat would be better.

Also about 60's... you have any suspensions mods for the rear to not squat?

what happened on your first run? you got a great 60ft... maybe the low tire pressure dragged you down through the rest of the race

Awesome times, keep us posted when you get into the 12's. Quick question, what clutch and suspension setup are you running? And as was asked above, do you have any dyno #'s on this setup? Thanks!

yeah man, once you get tuned, you'll be in the 12s easy.. i will have most of the mods that you do eventually, so this is good news for me! does the stock clutch hold all that power sufficiently?

I've had a bottle neck in my exhaust for quite some time, and i recently developed a exhaust leak in 2 different spots. Sounds weird, but that was it. And the fact that i had been running on street tires for the past 4 years, and now i have drag radials

Great times Jay, nice to see other guys stepping up to the plate. That's faster than I ran with my 2k2.

Don't hang your hat on a UDP. I had one until recently, then I put the stock one back on and ran an new fastest time. However that was an auto so a manual may be different.

You must be making a ton of midrange power to drop from a 13.19 to a 12.98 with only a .05 improvement in 60' and still stay at 106 mph. Damn impressive for a 4 door family car! My Chevelle's best was a 12.84 @ 108 and I had a lot more than just bolt-ons. Shows how much computer tuning, fuel injection and head advancements (4 valves per cylinder) can help.
