this I30t I picked up has perforated leather seats, which I have not previously seen in an I30. So I am wondering just how unusual is it.
My 96 I30 plain had solid leather, the interior john got out of an I30 is solid, all the seats I've seen on egay are solid leather.
so just how rare is this setup?

 

i've never seen it. probably aftermarket/dealer add on.

 

I'm 99% sure it isn't. the pattern is identical to the solid leather. most add-on leather I've seen has a different pattern than the OE.
my steering wheel cover has the same style of perforation on it.

I also can't really imagine anyone upgrading from OE leather to an aftermarket leather seat setup, with the only difference being perforated vs solid

 

It was an option with the winter package on the A32 Maxima, so I imagine Infiniti offered it as well.

I've seen a local I30 with it. I have a feeling it was only offered on the later years of the A32. His car IIRC is a 98 or 99. It sure does look awesome though, I totally want some for my car.

 

i30 touring came with it, and 99 maxima se-L.

A friend of mine threw some factory a32 I30 seats in his car and it has the perforated leather.

 

My 98 I30t has it so I guess it was some sort of factory option.

 

i have it too in my I30. i think it was a 98+ addition. i really dont like them at all, wanna put in 5th gen seats. my driver seat is shredded from normal wear and i need a new cushion or cover. passenger side is on Its way out too. Rear bench is in pretty good shape though

 

got them on my 98 i30

 

I do need to find a new rear seat bottom, mine has a triangle tear in it.

that comes after I find a new right rear tailight.

I think it's an I30t exlclusive.

 

98 and 99 I30's with leather had perforated seats....so did the 99 SE-L Maxima with the leather package.

there is no argument. there was some doubt, but it has been cleared up now.
Besides the perforated leather doesn't photograph well

 

QFT perforated isn't photogenic... at least mines isn't
