Car won't start after alternator spark
Car won't start after alternator spark
I was connecting a ground cable from he alternator body to the chasis without disconnecting the battery when I hit something and produced a spark. I disconnected the battery after the fact and finished connecting the ground wire. After re-conecting the battery I am not geeting power at all so the car will not start. I checked all the small fuses in the engine compartment and inside by the driver's side to no avail. Jump starting doesn't make any difference, still no electricity at all on the car. Is there any particular fuse or relay I need to check or did I fry something major?

I did. I went back to my car after posting the thread to check bigger fuses and found the battery one to be blown. I just came from Autozone to get that fuse when I saw your message. Thank you very much. I learned my lesson to always disconnect the battery no mattery how safe I think it is not to. Thanks again, P. Samson.
