well decided last minute to get to my local track tonight for the last time with my nitrous setup. the car ran strong and held together so it was a good night my best 60' thus far....

330' 5.33
1/8th 8.33 @ 83.53
1000' 10.69 @ 96.03

Guess it's a good thing that I'll have a surprise waiting for you, eh? But if we can make it there together, we will upset that import hater troll that lives in the tower! Imagine this - two 4th-gens staging together, smoky burnouts, BIG nitrous purges at the light, then countdown and BLAM - off they go into 12-second land together. This will be history in the making for KCIR. Heh..

that might have been a 12 second pass kev, you need to get to a real drag strip (i.e. one with 1320' worth of timing equipment )

Not near as much as I thought I would. The G with a $70 Z-tube that adds no power ran a 14.3 just like my Maxima did with MEVI/Y/JWT ECU/hacked airbox. What I probably miss most is winding out that jewel VQ30 to 7100rpms. It was such a damn smooth engine. The VQ35 feels a lot more raw. Torquey, but raw. The VQ30 with those breathing mods was just so linear. I miss that.

I've got some additional power mods I want to do to the G, but I'll only be looking at getting another 15whp/wtq out of it. I'd be ecstatic if the car got a 13.9 with the mods I plan on doing. That's probably as far as I'll go with this car in terms of go fast mods.

When I run with you guys next week, I'll be on my 18" rims and I have no idea how much they'll impact ET/MPH.

The weather is shaping up to be pretty decent for racing, cold, dry, and high baro pressure. The problem is they keep lowering the temp forecast. It was mid 50s and now they're saying upper 40s for the high on Friday. KCIR is a fair weather track and they won't let you race unles it's above 40. Let's hope the whiney employees will keep it open. Now I wish I was running with my lighter and narrower 17s.

Plan B might be MoKan Dragway - it's right along Highway 71, on the way to KC but about 1 hour south of KC.. they have a Friday Fun Drags that night. I've never been there, but what the heck.... (always have Plan B )

I always ran really slow at MOKAN with my Maxima. It's a funny track because you're literally in the middle of a corn field

Ever go to the old Wichita track? It was built on sandy old river beds, raised sand burrs, had a 10-ft-wide return road, bad lighting, and had tremendous local support.

It's changed hands and is supposed to be much better now, but I bet the sand burrs are still there.

Well, if KCIR is wet and MOKAN is dry, not too many choices....

Keep in mind that MOKAN is about 2 hours south of KC. KCIR will be dried out, but the temp might be a factor. I kind of doubt they'll close the track due to temps, but it wouldn't hurt to call in the morning to make sure.

Are you guys still racing? The weather is questionable with temps hovering in the mid 40s and possible rain (30-40%).

Yup - as you know, we all showed up at the Kansas City track - and got rained out.
