Shock absorber on engine?

In my quest to use polyurethane motor mounts, but loose the added harshness and vibration I had an idea. I was lookin at the engine design of my mom's 98 Camry v6 and it has a shock absorber that is on the motor to absorb vibratoin. Hmm I thought. Maybe there is some potential here. However, since the motor is tied pretty much directly to the chassis of the car, a shock absorber may do next to nothing for dampening vibration. Then again, its hard to say. Maybe I'll borrow my mom's engine shock and fabricate a way to fit it on.

I also thought about maybe fabricating an isolated subframe. The problem here is that it will defeat the purpose of having the polyurethane motor mounts solidly connect the motor to the car.
