Anybody have car parts fall off while driving?
As I was doing my spirited driving test yesterday, I nailed it around a curve and low and behold I hear a "claaang clang-clang clang" I look in my rear view sure enough theres a shiny object bouncing on the street. Yup, my muffler tip fell off. I never welded it on, cause I just pressure fitted it on. But it finally gave away. Since I know how to arc weld now, I'm gonna arc weld the tip on, even though most people use MIG on mufflers. On my old Camry I've had brake calipers come off on me..... just wondering what anybody else has lost.

I live in Sacramento and I was out at this really popular drag race area thats sucluded from traffic and the PO-lice. So i revved my 4-banger in the 510 and burned out to start of then went back to the line, he did the same, girl walks out, raises her bra and drops it then we take off and when I was in 3rd gear the integra I was racing started making klanking noises and there was this loud bang then his car started shooting sparks. I stopped turned around and his entire engine was hanging from underneath the car.
LESSON TO LEARN: don't buy Integra's, reasons: Thier Intergas.

yes!
Driving my '79 jeep cj-7 when a wind broke the zipties holding the hardtop broke and it blew righ off onto the road behind me. Luckly no one was behind me and someone stoped to help me put it back on. Lesson: zip ties are not as strong as we think they are.

I've lost a '69 Mazda R100 hubcap before. Over a week later driving down the part of the freeway that it must have went missing I spotted it in the roadside scrub. Got it back undamaged after a champion ABS stop/reverse display by the g/f, even she appreciated it was a bloody rare part!

Brake calipers fall off
Sheesh, I'm glad your still here
I once installed rake calipers, and forgot the washers, the brakes worked fine, but the pads were bouncning around all over the places, making these cheesy clanging sounds, made my car sound like it was ready to fall apart

Well I have two bad Ford stories...
First: 99 Explorer just had a windshield wiper fly off while on the highway in very, very dense rain. To make matters worse it was the driver side wiper.
Second: Rear wiper on my dads 99 Expedition quit working one day. Then we decide to take a look at it to fix it and it was gone. Really weird. I wonder what was going on at the Ford plant when the employees were putting on these damn wipers.
Anyway other than that I had a clear light (sidemanrker) for my 96 Max hang out while driving. I didn't notice till I stopped. Thats some good wire holding it there cause I drove around for almost 20 min before stopping and noticing it dangling there.
Last one: Me and two friends in a 90 GMC Jimmy. We're were all drunk and high and just got home from a party. We live in Brooklyn, the party was in queens and when we returned home right in the spot where my friend always parks the right rear wheel just fell off. No kidding, I'm not sure how the hell we mad it home but the wheel waited till we were right in front of his house to let go.

My reaction was something like "WTF was that?"
