This is a used unit currently installed in my wife's car, and will only work for manual transmissions. I'm sick of doing the procedure to set up the remote start, so it has to go (Compustar's do not have a neutral safety wire input).

why is this only works on manual transmission?

 

You can make it work on automatic, but the whole sequence must be set (in order to remote start later) BEFORE you leave the car. Thinking about it now, you might be able to bypass it with like a pac TR7 or something. It involves the foot brake , hand brake and door trigger.

It just kind of silly to put it in an auto and have to set this sequence every time if you have an auto when you could just simply get a different unit and not ever worry about it..
