Car losing coolant and my mechanic said the radiator is bad and needs changing. He said while I'm at it pick up a Thermostat and Thermostat gasket.

This Maxima getting expensive, since I've had to the car I've replaced the Power Steering pressure house and now this and it's been like 8 months so far.

and I need plugs and a tune as well.

How much will a radiator run me? Or what's the number to Dave?

btw, is my mechanic right when he says it's the radiator? Is the radiator a culprit for these problems with the loss of coolant?

 

it depends where the coolant is leaking from...but thats usually the problem. i had to replace the radiator on my 00 and my 02.

dave wont even be able to get you the best price because it will still be Nissan...i got an OEM replacement for a little over $100.

and you dont need the thermostat and thermostat gasket.

 

IMO you might as well replace it. A thermostat is what? $12?
