i just picked up a 4th gen 5 spd (95) the alarm was working when i picked up the car, but a few hours later it stopped working. No response when i press the buttons on the remote, feels like the programming was lost. Battery seems to be fine, fuse under hood is ok. any ideas?

 

Why do you assume the battery 'seems to be fine'? Did you change it out? Test it somehow?

Have you tried reprogramming it?

 

I'm thinking it's the battery in the key fob

 

ya i tested the battery in the key fob. havent tried reprogaming it, let me look for instructions.

 

Just a thought. When I got my Max a couple years ago I had similar problem. Turned out, after a $5 battery, that I wasn't turning the key completely to the OFF, yet the key would still come out.
