Well I am thoroughly bummed. On sunday my 97 Max was totaled. A guy driving a camry lost control in a turn and front ended me, the wreck being totally his fault. Both cars were deemed "totaled" but luckily nobody had any serious injuries. It was my first car so it had a lot of sentimental value to me. I spent hours working on that thing and it was like new. Im really gonna miss her!

The good news is, Im looking into getting another newer max or maybe a 350z.

I know how you feel. When I had gotten into my wreck, it seemed like it was the worst day in the world. My Maxima was my first legal car, and when it had gotten into a wreck, everybody said that it was totalled, but yet I still fixed it.

Again, I'm sorry that happened to you. Are you planning on getting a new (maybe another 4th) Maxima? How much money did you get?

hey man i feel for you, i know what you mean about it being your first car and having put so much time into it. i took it pretty hard when my car was stolen, felt similar to what you described.

hopefully you get a nice check from the insurance out of this and get yourself back into something newer maybe.

if hes gonna get money from the insurance company odds are they will take the car even if its totaled especially if its his own insurance company giving him the money i.e comp and collision coverage.

Yeah, it would be nice to keep it and part it out, but the other peoples insurance will probably take it. I only have liabality so I dont get comp from my insurers. The DA who wrecked me only had liability also so now he has no car now and no money to get a new one!
