Shed a Tear For Me Maxima Brothers & Sisters

So it is completely my fault but let me give the story. I replaced the radiator and fans on Maxine over the summer and and filled her with water. However genius me forgot to do a flush before the winter so needless to say my water pump blew off the side of her engine.....Well my dad was gracious enough to give replacing the water pump a try for me. She is back in running condition however she now sports an oil and tranny leak, her once fashionable CV boots (her favorite boots to wear) are split. And when she gets a little steamy she doesn't overflow into her normal tank. She just blows it out of her cap!!!! Oh and we are having intimacy problems, she just doesn't seem to have that flame inside for me anymore!!!(the heater is out now)

I cant complain really because she has 265k and she was bought with 160k(roughly) So all in all its been a good run but it may be time to let her go..........(scene from Titanic plays through your mind)

Technically she still runs so I am going to see if i can get any money out of her.

On a side note, I'm selling my car if you are interested. 73kmi, 99 SE with a couple mods (converted to fed. spec., suspension and 00VI). I'll let it go for $5k or so. I just replaced a whole bunch of stuff trying to fix a lean code (which I did finally fix with a new engine coolant temperature sensor).

Can anyone think of a reason why she wont overflow correctly, It cant be so simple as to just replace the little hose that goes to the tank.

Regardless IM STICKING WITH A MAXIMA FOR MY NEXT ONE!!!


edit: I could just make the misses walk to work!! haha

maybe a plugged up hose or air in the system.

Funny things I was up there to see a few Yanks and Mets games (among a plethora of other stadiums) before they closed Shea and Yankee down. Should have just gotten it then.....

Sounds like she's given you a good run. In my opinion I'd try and give her a second chance, she's done her best to fight for you, fight for her!!!

Honestly though, if the body and chassis is good, but you've got some engine issues, why not consider fixing her up?

A new car is a lot more than the price to fix the one you got....

Well with an oil, tranny, and coolant leak, i fear at 265k miles it might be a losing battle.

u can find another engine with half the mileage for like $400 bucks probably....and youd have ur baby back! u should consider it

Yep...luxury car is in my future.

Someone buy my car. You're getting one helluva car. Many people can vouch for it's condition/rigorous maintenance.

OP...come to a Jet's game lol. The stadiums last year is next year...but the car wont' be around then. So come now. .

Umm, sort of. Put a new radiator cap on it and just make sure that hose is indeed clear.

You can replace the drive shafts too if you like.

What's going on with the heater? No fan? Only blows cold? More info...
Could also be a simple fix.

I have a new cap and found that the hose to the overflow wasnt even close to kinda snug it was so loose. so i put a new clamp on it???????!!?!??!??!?!!!?
