what do you find wrong with the bulbs??

And the car was washed in all of the darker pics. The 1st and last ones were just done at my house.

It's like -5 degrees out. I am NOT going out and washing my car.

the badge is too high on the trunk. if you put it in the stock location of the MAXIMA then it might look decent.

And the bulbs are no. why?...they are purple and you probably cant see crap with them.

Oh ya, wash your car before your whole car looks like that streak coming from your gas cover....ya i know its cold, its cold here but thats why places have drive throughs or wash bays if you can be outside for 5minutes...

I agree actually with the badge being to high up.
I might lower it when it stops snowing.

and the bulbs are not purple, they have a blue tint on them. It's just the camera making the light purple ish looking.

And yes. it is a "V6"

I'm just looking for opinions on what might look a little better. I'vespent alot of money in it making it look the way it does body wise. I only paid $400 for 2 of them and made this one out of it. New rocker panels, fenders, starter, MAF, grill, transmission, and i love it. IMO, it looks ok. Compared to alot of the maximas on the .org, it's nothing, but i've learned alot about cars from this site and from doing 90% of the work myself.
I will always own a maxima

your car, your money, your build, but you asked for opinions on the lights and badge and you got them

imo the badge looks bad, i like the stock one, and i can't make an opinion on the lights because you can't even tell what color they are in the picture, and oh yeah, wash your damn car

Nay on both counts. The badges, while an interesting idea, are poorly done. That particular Maxima badge is not meant to be front and center as the "main" badge on the trunk, hence why it's so small. Looks awkward. The V6 badge is also totally unnecessary and almost ricey in a braggart's kind of way. V6 badges should be reserved for cars that have more than just a V6 as an option, like a Camry

Also, the headlight bulbs: the only kind of non-OEM bulb I promote in stockish housings is XtraVisions. Everything else is either ricey looking, has poor output, or in a lot of cases both.

is that badge from an older maxima? IMO, i would either get rid of all the badges you have or unless its pertinent to keep it, i would at the very least put it in one of the corners of the trunk. my useless .02 cents lol

I like the emblem, but would lower it. Also dont pay much mind to the remarks of some of the people on here. Most would rather say something negative than positive I have noticed from reading.

You have a nice car. Just do what you like and you will always be happy with it.

Thanks man...i'm just tryin to do what people aren't doing. I haven't seen another maxima with that badge so i put it on.

And you arre right. People seem to say negitive things rather than give opinions on what would look better or say something positive.

and btw, the output of the lights are WAY better than OEM. Just cause they have a tint to them, doesn't mean i'm trying to be ricer.

I didn't debadge the rear, a few letters were missing whne i bought it so i looked for a replacement. This is the one i settled with.

Why wash my car with all thesalt and water on the road. 15 mins of driving and it's rotten again.

not just nay, but heeell nay.

badge is ridiculous no matter where you choose to put it (shaved ftw) and colored bulbs are ftl. it doesn't matter what brand or color tint, they ALL perform worse than an equivalent wattage untinted bulb.

If your proud of having a Max like all of us take it off, drill small holes in the ends go to a hardware store buy 25 inches of steel chain and wear it as a necklace.
If your in need of a factory Maxima badge i can send you one, pay shipping.

At the very least, spread the letters out. Chop it up and put them each 3" apart. It looks terrible because the letters are scrunched together and too centered. If you want a small letter badge, put it in the corner above a tail light. If you're going to center it, either do a large/spread out one, or do a nissan emblem.

actually with a symbol that small it shouldn't be centered. perhaps you should put it on the top right corner, where it would normally say gle, gxe, or se on the 99 models.
