New Auto Shift ***?

I searched but couldn't find any good information on this.

What kind of options are there for replacing the auto shift ***? How hard is it to do?

It's not ridiculously hard but if you have the O/D button you'll have to find another place for it.

Any generic auto shift **** will work, as there is no thread to worry about. I recommend a boot to go with it, since having a stick jutting out of your center console looks a little awkward. You will also need to either choose your **** carefully and make sure it has a O/D switch you can wire up OR add a switch somewhere OR simply leave it unplugged and choose not to use it.

I have installed the one pictured above. It actually requires you to push down the entire **** to shift. As far as the look of the unit: it's deffinately a 10. But the function is not up to par. Let me say it another way, if anyone get's into your car and shifts it, they would think the **** is loose. It's just a flaw of this particular shifter design. I'm critical of the one pictured above, b/c i have it and i know it's flaws. If i had to do it over... i may go for a different push button like the MOMO.

*Also, if you want to remove the shifter unit, the bolts are under the car and pretty easy to get to. You may want to thread holes into the shifter arm for screws if you go w/the one that was pictured earlier in this thread.*

*the overdrive button can easily be relocated to the gear selection indicator plastic panel. I picked up a black momentary push button from radio shack that sits almost flush and looks very clean!*
