Quaife ATB differentials for 95-01 5MT Maximas (from Cattman)

QUAIFE Differential Group Deal from Cattman Performance

NO DEPOSIT REQUIRED

We are pleased to once again offer the famous Quaife all-gear ATB Helical LSD differential for the 95-01 Maxima 5-speed manual transmission. There will only be 6 units available through this group deal.

The Maxima Quaife-

Good news is that the group deal price is “only” $1089.99 (updated Jan 2010 due to a declining exchange rate between the US $ and British pound), which is (still) less than we’ve ever charged for this part. Since the diffs are already made, there won’t be a 10-week wait – I should have them in stock 6-10 days after the sale closes, and of course we’ll ship them right out.

I didn't expect to find these; it's unlikely that there will ever be any more made for the Maxima 5MT.

Give us a call at 800.759.9920 (US except AZ), 888.296.5153 (Canada and AZ), or 520.575.6195 to order, we’re open 9-5 MST, M-F.

I suggest calling in the order if you're interested in the differential. I am not updating the GD thread every time we get an order, so there's no way to know the current status. Obviously the deposits would be refunded if the deal didn't come together.

Yes, I'd really like to make this deal fly. I'm going to confirm availability with Quaife and roll out another deal announcement if they are. Its the best differential made, AND the only one available for the Maxima, PLUS, this is the lowest price ever.

Brian from cattman said that they are already made, so it should be about 6-10 days after the order is placed.

Come on guys place your orders!

I'm on the list for one from Cattman. I think he needs 6 dedicated people to put the order in.

Bump.

Still waiting on this group deal. I placed my order in July and still waiting.

I'm looking to rebuild the transmission this winter so I would like to get this soon.

Great deal. I absolutely love mine. Pulls me through fast corners, and got me through some serious snow driving in UT last year without ever getting stuck.

Puts the power down!

how many more orders do you need for this deal to go through? i don't even have my Maxima anymore, but i would buy another Max if i could first get a hold of a Quaife.

Sorry I haven't been to this thread for a while, but I'm jumping back in because there might be enough interest to do this very worthy group deal. I've updated the necessary details in the original post.

We only need 6 orders total (waiting for a confirmation from Quaife, but I think there are 7 available), and I've got 3 fresh commitments and several maybe's, so let's make this work.

Feel free to post your interest here, but give us a call ASAP to let us know and place the order (or ask questions) at 800.759.9920 (US except AZ), 888.296.5153 (Canada and AZ), or 520.575.6195 to order, we’re open 9-5 MST, M-F.

If you are using the '95~'01 Maxima 5 speed manual transmission it will work.

These will not work with the 6 speed manual transmissions, though some of the 6 speed boxes have an OEM helical differential that is similar to the Quaife design.

I am still waiting on this offer from Cattman, 7 months and still waiting.

^ Are you absolutely married to the idea of sticking with the 5-speed?

Yup.

I have ABS and don't feel like relocating it for the 6 speed transmission shifter cables. Speaking of shifter cables, have you driven a six speed? Feels like crap compared to the 5 speed shifter linkage, well mine at least. Also the gearing works out better for the road course IMO. I would rather stay in 3rd then have to go back and fourth from 3rd & 4th gear. Less shifting, faster lap times. Though it would be nice to have that 6th gear for better fuel economy.

I have one of these that I need to sell, never used.

I bought it for my N13 Pulsar but the bearings are the wrong size, 2mm out. It's for Maxima 95-01, reciepts etc included.

Please contact me if you're interested.

There won't be a group deal. Quaife has sold a few individual units from their inventory and there aren't enough left to do anything for the group. I think they have a few left. Go to their UK website, get their contact information (don't think you can buy online), and arrange to buy one directly (others have done this). The British pound sterling is quite low right now vis a vis the US $ and you should get a relatively good price.
