Woohoo the price for gas in dropping to $1.00 a gallon!

Locally in MA the price of unleaded gas has dropped to $1.09. With the prices dropping then more Maxima drivers will be traveling this holiday season. It's about time we don't have to pay mucho dinero for ga$ and heating oil this winter.

Yup...things are good here in New Jersey too!

I paid $1.19/gal. for Premium Gas today and I think Regular is down to $0.99/gal.!

Hope it stays this way!

The other day, I was running on fumes and filled up on premium. To my surprise, the bill came out to $28.50. I thought, no way, the tank cannot be full. I cannot recall within the past two years any fillup being less than $30. So I checked the pump...17.1 gallons! The price was $1.67 for Chevron supreme (91 octane here in NorCal). That is a GREAT price in the San Francisco bay area.

I cannot imagine filling up at $1.00 for super. That means for under $20 I can fill up the tank?? That's extraordinary.

Must be nice to be able to pay such low prices on gas! I live in Hawaii and right now we have the highest gas prices in the nation. Regular unleaded starts at $1.89 with the premium gas topping off around $2.05 a gallon. And it's been this way all year. Oh well, guess it's the price you pay for living in paradise. Aloha!!

You can get that price for regular unleaded in lots of places but try Newton if you are closeby. I saw super going for only $1.30 a gallon over the weekend. Now that is cheap...waiting for it to go lower.

Hell no! It would be nice but we have the lowest paid teachers anywhere in the nation and most jobs on the mainland you can expect to be paid anywhere from $30-60,000 more than you get here. That's why most people leave the islands because jobs are not only hard to come by but they don't pay s***. Price you pay for living in paradise though. You sacrifice the high pay for beautiful weather, nice people, and the ocean. And most people here have two jobs just so they can make ends meet. It's ashame.

Ummmm....Maui chips are good especially the onion kind. I'll eat enough for you also. : Paradise is great and I wouldn't trade it for anything in the world. More people should travel to Hawaii now. Big time discounts on many things, empty beaches, cheap airline tickets to here, and an island full of people waiting for the tourists to come back. We're really hurting out here. Aloha!

Some people are lucky!

$1.00 for premium? I don't believe it's EVER been that low in New Mexico. It's apparently rather expensive here compared to most of you guys' prices... $1.39 for premium where I go. And our octanes suck *** here, premium is 91 octane! plus is 87! I actually have to put premium in a 1990 GXE since the min. octane is 88!

am I the only one here who doesn't give a hoot about gas prices? LOL I'd like to see them higher just to stick it to all those gas guzzling SUV owners filling up their 25 gallon tank

gas prices are too cheap... it causes people to waste gas, pollute the environment, and make us run out of our petroleum reserves sooner. They'll regret it in 30 years!

Oh yes!! They are everywhere and you could never get enough of all the beautiful women that you see. I practically live at the beach and it's wonderful. Hope all of you in the cold states are enjoying the weather about now. It's about 85 and sunny right now. : Time to head to the beach!

I think I could find it in the budget to pay a little bit extra each fill up in return for the babes and beaches in HI.....

however, since it's cold and rainy in NE OH this evening, I'll have to take comfort in the $1.25/gal 93 octane premium gas for sale around here.

Seeing that last June, the mid-west had the highest gas prices in the nation, I'm happy to allow another region to take that award.

Even though I'm happy to see gas prices drop... I agree with ya! People are going to start wasting gas again and buy their Excursions, then when we don't have oil in the world in a few decades, we'll be pointing fingers and be modifying our bicycles OPEC is trying to control gas prices but several countries like Russia have stepped up their oil production and they do not comply with OPEC. Because there is some alternative to middle eastern OPEC oil, prices are harder to control, especially with 2 suppliers with different beliefs... I still think this will last less then 6 months, we'll be saying the typical 1.80$ a gallon soon enough again.....
