Out of all the cars Ive seen go through my family etc, Id have to say the paint on my 00 is the worst...each day it seems like it gets worst and worst...

Mine is a 98 and it has many little nicks and scratches. It gets worse by the day. it's true
I got it, it was pretty clean, at least one of the cleanest of the 40+ maximas I've seen that day. Damn Superblack paint.
I think White is the best, cleanest color for a Max.

 

I agree 100%. Sterling Mist looks great on the showroom floor, but I can not keep the paint on the car. Bumpers especially!

 

i hate the superblack.... man does this thing like to get scratches and chips

 

even though i havent been driving my max, i still look at it in see that its terribly dirty, then i get closer and see all the little scratches. i cant wait till i can afford to paint it...white.

 

I don't know about 4th gens, but my 3rd gen Pearl White paint is still in perfect condition. It's still the original paint, and it has barely any scratches and just a couple chips (that aren't noticeable). Plus, it seems to be the perfect color for not showing the dirt, which helps when you're as lazy as I am with washing it.

The factory paint on my 87 max was good, it didn't start chipping until the car got hit in the front. Even then that was 8 years after we bought the car. We enjoyed our MAXIMA .

 

its just annoying especially after i wash and wax my car....i mean its a 99 so i would hope the paint would be better....i jsut get ****ed when i spend all day washing, then put ike 2 coat of wax on it after a coat of 3m and it still has some swirl marks here and there...anyone know anything that revitalizes paint or gets rid of swirl marks?
