Wish My Maxima Had....

300+ HP

Rear Sonar Sensors (Makes the Beeping Sound Like my Qx56)

Power Folding Mirrors

Safety Sensing up/down Windows(Incase My Son Puts his Hand When It Goes Up)

Tire Pressure Monitoring System (Tells U How Much Pressure in Tires)

6 Speed Manual

AWD or RWD

Rear Dual Zone Auto Temp Control

Heated Rear Seats

Rear Side Door Pockets (To put Your Stuff if u r a rear Passenger)

Atleast One 12-volt Power Outlet In rear

Black Suede roof liner (tired Of that grey/beige color)

Less Chrome Accents On the Exterior of the Car.

Option to only have the FogLights On Without the Headlights On.

Aux In.

Passenger Side Memory Seats

Factory 19's Even if its not the Sport Model

I'm sure there are alot other things I would like in this car but then again, all those luxury features would make this car Surpass its competitors.

-Well you wont need rear sonar with the backup camera
-My sv premium package have rear temp controls for the rear Passenger.
-Get someone to re-wire the fogs to the parking lights for you.
-Mine has an Aux in for DVD player, or ipod
-I'm sure if you wanted to purchase a set of the '19 rims you can.
-Which model do you have?

Why do people want this to transition to a RWD/AWD? I'm glad there is still a sedan sports car with FWD. It gets better gas millage than AWD, and handles great in EVERY WEATHER CONDITION... unlike the RWD sports cars.

I guess if you live in SoCal I can understand wanting it to be RWD, but so many of us live in places with some bad weather that it's not worth it. Nothing makes me laugh more then watching Seattle freak out over 1" of snow(i'm from chicago). But they have a good reason, because watching Mustangs and G8's try to drive around in this weather on those hills is a disaster. Yet I hop in my 290hp FWD and glide right past them as if it were dry weather.

Also, once you get used to the CVT, manual will be a thing of the past. Atleast that is how I feel coming from a 5 speed.

-On another note, which package did you get? The premium package, and the Sport + tech package both come with aux inputs.

My '09 Maxima has safety-sensing windows as well as safety-sensing power sunroof.

290 HP is all in the world we need in a FWD vehicle, and FWD is the proper setup for a family car that will be used in both good and bad weather. AWD is an expensive, gas-guzzling waste unless one plans to drive off-road a lot.

Thank goodness my Maxima does not have a black suede roof liner. I would find that depressing.

A six speed manual is a leftover from the past. It might be fun to drive in a few less-congested areas, but will never be as fuel-efficient as this newly redesigned CVT, and would be an abomination in the traffic I drive in.

But I could deal with passenger side memory seats, a TPMS system that gives the psi of each tire independently, power-folding outside mirrors, heated rear seats, and maybe a few other things MaxDOuT listed.

Well, I only have a few for my wish list...

1. Homelink buttons that are either back-lit or lit.
2. Headlights tied to Windshield wiper operation
3. Climate controlled Passenger Seat
4. Blue(ish) guages (vs the standard red/orange)

Just do as I do: grab the bottom edge of the mirror sideways with your palm, press firmly, and watch the gate open and both garage doors go up. Sure, it is a frustratingly sloppy way to do it, especially with the garage still 300 feet away when you pass the gate. But trying to find the correct button in the dark is too much for my old eyes, and even the dome light shines more into my eyes than onto the Homelink controls. I try to feel my way across the buttons, but, at my age, I can't even tell when I'm feeling one of these almost flat buttons. I have wished for a softly lighted homelink system since back in the mid-nineties. Thank goodness almost all other controls and switches in this '09 are either illuminated or backlighted.

Infiniti is a very nice car. I will never question that. Infiniti M35 would be my choice after the Maxima. But my selection of the Maxima is made easy by:

1 - My strong preference for FWD.
2 - My strong preference for the new Nissan CVT.
3 - My not-as-friendly and not-as-easy-to-deal-with local Infiniti dealer.
4 - My preference for the Maxima's looks.
5 - My strong desire for an air-conditioned driver's seat.
6 - My great thirteen year working relationship with my nearby Nissan dealer.

-i wish my maxima passenger seat had all the power options of the driver seat..esp when im cleaning out the car. i like to be able to raise the seat forward

i do wish that the roof came with the option of a dark color like a black or dark gray

the mirror adjusters were on the door panel instead of the current location as well as the heated steering wheel switch on the steering wheel...

and i wish the headlights rotated with the steering wheel like on the Lincoln mks..

and finally for the rear windows to go into the door completely...

these few issues are not major issues but would make it ideal.. but hey i still luv my car over every other car out there on the road.

ok well doesn't have to be black suede but since most luxury vehicles have it thats why i opted for it, but as long its black i'm happy with that. I just realized that it does have the window safety option so that was my badd.

What I meant is for the rear to be able to control the a/c temperature in the back to there liking. So it doesn't interfere with the temperature in the front.

I would also like for the rear windows to go down completely and for the headlights to turn with the car like the Acura RL.

The sonar is very helpful as I have it in my qx56 and has saved my wife a couple of times from hitting something. Not always do we keep an eye on the camera screen and the sound could help with the option to turn it on and off.

I Have the Sv Premium Loaded and thanx for the input. I am happy with the car but some little extra options would of made me a tad bit happier.

P.S. The fact that it has cooling driver seat, Driver side thigh extendor on the seat, double panel sunroof, & rear window power sunshade is something I never expected from nissan and i'm very happy to see that they went the extra mile this time.

5.- No problem, but it will be nice.

Ditto! I also would like to see the steering wheel heat switch on the wheel, as well as the power folding/dimming mirrors.

I hate the look of the sonar sensors. I'm guessing we may get #3 above in 2010.

The lack of a 6MT would have been a deal killer for me 5 years ago - and while I would still prefer it - I understand the economics that have prevented it.

He certainly did. And that is precisely why Nissan would not even consider changing our Maxima to RWD.

The Maxima is aimed more toward a sporty family sedan that can negotiate inclimate weather (in which FWD is better than RWD), while Infiniti is aimed at a more upscale audience. By the time it the G37 is loaded with options like AWD (so it can negotiate inclimate weather like the Maxima does), it is beyond the Maxima's price range and is less fuel-efficient. Where the Maxima's CVT seems to get around 30 MPG on long freeway trips, a G37 with AWD and no CVT would probably get around 26 MPG on long freeway trips.

But if you insist a Maxima with RWD and 35 more HP, JSMax and BLACKNESS MONSTA just handed you a road map showing you where to find one..
