Evening Everyone.

Brand new member to this forum, been searching for a while for a forum regarding the nissan maxima, but most that i had found had virtually no activity...

I'm from Melbourne and Just want to start off by saying these are absolutely beautiful machines, got myself a 2004 TI as my backup car, currently driving mitsu 380 (Galant in your parts of the world).

One thing i have noticed just by looking at a few threads is that the maxima over in the states is similar yet also very different aesthetically! the passenger/driver section of the car seems similar but both, the front end and back end look very different. Your front end is wayyyyyyyy smaller/shorter than ours, and gotta say, (not just rooting for the home team), with the longer bonet/front end, it does look more sexy...

Look forward to seeing many modifications as out in melbourne, only a select few (and i mean, about... 2 people) have actually done this model up a bit! Hopefully get some decent ideas.

Will post some pics up soon!

Ben

1. Don't paint or powder coat your wheels.
2. If you get a spoiler, get the 07-08 spoiler and paint the same color as your car.
3. Paint the stillen lip your color.
4. Don't bother painting the letters on your trunk, shave them off! But you can keep the hamburger on.
I don't know why you want to paint any of those stuff black, its going to make your car ugly IMO, if you want to blacken anything on your car, IMO do your headlights & your corner lights to match it with your tail lights. Good luck bro.

I agree with all comments above! Listen and learn, we all tried to experiment with different ideas, some work and some just do not...

You're off to a good start. Front windows need some kind of tint, are you telling me you cannot tint them at all?

You could have the black strip on the bumper painted to match the body. I had it before until some doofus hit my car. I like a rear window spoiler, 07 would be nice too. Fog light upgrades, there are plenty of ways to spend your money.

Don't paint your wheels, just save your money until you get something after market you like.

Yes, that spoiler will fit, many 04-06 max has them, I wish I did. And if you want to black out your headlights, here's a link: http://www.6thgenmaxima.org/forums/viewtopic.php?t=6579 . If your still unsure, just PM J, I'm sure he wouldnt mind helping out, I think he was one of the 1st few he started doing this mod.

Speaking of that, I was working last week in Toronto at Lawrence Avenue and McCowan Road..............

When out of the blue, I see this black Maxima, but it looks different.

1) it has LED bulbs around the eyelids..............(RICE)
2) whacky blue halos touching the HID projector (MORE RICE)
3) stock rims + saggy rear end = bestbuy MDF wood speaker box (GIANT RICE)
4) Clown Hat Driver looked ashamed of his car.......... (EPIC RICE)

DON'T BE EPIC RICE BRO!! Take advice from the guys here. Too much is never good. As for the EPIC FAIL that was driving the MAXIMA east on Lawrence........your wet mop and bucket are waiting for you at Burger King..... FAIL

+1.... When I bought my car, it had those door guards on it and it looks horrible so I removed them. Trust me there is a big difference. Those things take away from the smooth lines of the car.
