I had photoshopped these wheels on to my car several years ago, but have never been able to find them either because they were either way overpriced, or were not too bad a price, but were in need of repair that would have made them expensive in the end. Mostly they are just plain hard to find.
I know it was more than two years ago I originally photochopped them on to my car, because I titled the photo 'Badass Baby Hauler' lol. A nod back then to the future arrival of my daughter.
Anyway, I finally got them. And I am exceedingly pleased. Had to share.

350z 35th Anniversary 5 spoke Touring rims on Falken ZE912 235/40/18 - 18x8.5 rear/18x8 front. Offset: +30 rear/+33 front. No spacers. Dead flush fit on a 3rd gen.

With the +30 offset on the rear I didn't want any risk of rubbing. As it turned out there was about a finger tip of clearance, so it ended up being the right choice. It helps that I used to sell tires and rims when deciding to go with this size on all 4 rims. These are an appropriate size tire for the rim - though not 'optimal'. 245/45/18 would have been optimal, but I wanted everything flush.

Yes, center caps didn't come with the purchase. I have to look up the part number.

I saw some inexpensive 5 spoke infiniti wheels recently, but since I have no 5x114.3 cars currently I didn't get them.

 

Not sure. I have never seen an Infiniti/Nissan 5 spoke rim that has this kind of aggressive 'talon-like' appearance or depth. Most of the 5 spoke designs are very one dimensional. These ones just jump out at you.
They do remind me (sort of) of the Mille Miglia rims that some of the OG orgers had back in the day.

 

Looks great Hadman. Have your rear fenders been rolled? Do the front tires rub on the inside during turns?

With the rear fenders rolled would the larger size fit nicely? I ask because I also like the size of wheels you have along with the spoke clearance for BBKs. I only wish that there were wheels like that with 6 spokes instead of 5. For now my Infiniti 6-spoke 17x7" I35 sport rims will have to do.

Nice look, though, especially on a black car! I wonder what they would look like on a silver one?

 

Actually the traditional 350z rim is a 6 spoke, and they are much easier to find. So if you prefer that look they are out there. To me I don't see a huge enough difference between the 350 6 spoke and the 5th gen 6 spoke to make the change though.

Fender rolling isn't really the big issue with this rim/tire combo, as much as it interfering with the upper well, struts and springs, etc.

 

Wow dang that is beautiful. I guess I was living in a cave for a few years but I don't believe I've ever seen those wheels before. Your car is looking quite sharp!

Have you thought about running the 4 front wheels, all 18x8s? Figure this way you can run the 'optimal' tire size all around without having too thin of a tire stretching to fit a wide rim in the rear. I believe the factory size is 245/45/18 Rear and 225/45/18 Front, so i see you going middle of the road and choosing to run 235s is a bit of a give in the front and a bit of a take at the rears

How does caliper clearance look? Ive been giving these wheels some thought to clear 300zx calipers, but having a staggered setup on a FWD bothers me, so id probably go for all 18x8's. And yes finding them for a deal is part of the game, ive been looking, my other choice is 98 17x8 Cobras

 

I've said this before, all 18" G/Z wheels have clearance for days for my bbk. And mine requires a decent amount of it.

Iv'e run 4 fronts w/ my track editions. Worked really well.

Thanks Ben. Damn good deal too, but judging by the picture I believe the color is wrong. There are like 4 variations of this center cap. They are near identical, but have subtle differences. Some are different in fitment, some are different in color. I believe mine came with a chrome cap actually - to match the brilliant metallic of the wheel. Still looking in to it. Where's Kaleb when you need him...

Cheers. It's great to have the positive reinforcement. You think about this stuff for years sometimes, but when laying down the cash is the only way to find out if your vision was a good one or a bad one - it can be a bit unnerving. And it doesn't stop there because you have to fit them with tires too, so it's a bloody expensive 'vision' lol.
I'm glad my hunch turned out to be a good one, and as I said before, to have it validated by positive comments from you guys.
Still need center caps, but it's not a universal Nissan part for these wheels, so I have to hunt down the right part and hopefully not get dinged by a dealer to get a hold of them.

I just saw the date I originally photochopped this was April 17, 2007. Almost bang on 2 years ago. Aside from the Z wheels, I see I was also drawing up plans for the clear corners, the e36's, there was no Stillen kit yet, no updated fogs....
The chop on the wheels was actually pretty accurate now that I can compare it first hand. But now that I have completed most of these mods, the photo chop below is no comparison to the real thing. PS is great for helping to visualize potential mods through.

 

Yep. Jeff you actually helped confirm things for me 2 years ago when I asked your opinion. You said...

So my guess is your wheels would fit about the same. But you will probably have to run the rears on the front if you run the oem tire sizes. If you run some 235s, you might be able to put the 8.5" wheels on the rear

Now that i can see the pics, they do look pretty good... especially because you have the full stillen kit which swallows up and blends the wheels a bit

imo id run 8"s all around so i can have a little more tire width to rim width for fit and finish reasons and to help protect from curb rashing which these rims are easily prone to

Id get them for mine but id need to finish the kit since putting those on a kit-less 3rd gen would look like 18s on a notch fox body, that skateboard look

 

I didn't have the option to go with 8" all around as I found these for sale as a complete OEM set. I agree the Stillen kit does offset the look properly.
Without the lowered stance of the Eibachs and body kit, 18's of any kind would look odd in my opinion. I was skeptical I'd like the look with my mods, but I had to try. Glad I did. After 14 years of owning this car, one gets itchy settling with the same look - even if it is a winning combination.
