HVAC fan only works on speed 4?

Hi everyone,
A strange problem just started with my 1996 Maxima today, the fan/blower only works on the speed setting 4, the other three are totally dead. Any ideas on a cause? It can't be a fuse because it does work on 4. It is very odd because it totally happened at random.

Thanks,
Zack

Thanks for the help everyone. I fixed the HVAC in under three minutes with the new resistor.

And the part number has changed at the dealer, it is now: 27150-2J000, and the price is $40.00, I paid $30.00 with a discount.

Thanks,
Zack

It sucks not being able to access at work. Like everyone else I would have had the answer for you in a minute. Quick fix.

The better question is "How did you get a 10% discount and could you hook us up??"

I think I get a discount because I drop so much cash there keeping my Pathfinder and the Max on the road.
