Car broken into overnight :-(

My car was broken into on my mechanics lot over night while it was in for radiator swap. Whoever broke in decided to try to steal the car first and destroyed the ignition. Then they ransacked the car, and stole the battery, entire air intake, maf, ecu, other random sensors. They just cut the wires, taking the harnesses with them. BUT they left my radio and subwoofer.

The mechanic was nice enough to change all the missing sensors that was keeping the car from starting, including a new ignition. But since there are no harnesses everything is just spliced in.

Who the hell tries to steal a beat up 95 maxima anyway?

The only thing I can figure is someone needed a maf and intake for their 4th gen? The thing that sucks is I had bought that maf about a month ago to fix my stalling problem.

Basically, that's what it sounds like; someone needed some parts for their own car, or they knew that they could get some relatively decent cash for the sensors they stole.

that sucks man. It's obvious that whoever broke in, knew exactly what they were there for.

Man that sucks, I feel for ya.
My max has been broken into twice since I owned it (and I noticed 2 of my windows have been replaced prior and I find glass under the carpet, so I'm sure its been broken into before too).
Last time they took my dvd player, effed up the dash, and broke the trunk latch but still didnt get in to the truck so I still have my subs and amps. haha. Inept ******** couldn't even get my headunit out, so they just took the faceplate. I got kinda lucky. But now my dash looks like crap. heh.

This was in NY. I wish they stole the radio or speakers. My renters coverage actually covers my Radio, speakers, and anything I leave in the car. Car parts are NOT included. Ugh.

So sorry to hear that, you should be on the lookout for your parts like the guys just said. Hope you get your parts back or get something that is close to the same value to you back someday. Good luck mate!
