Brake Battery Light

I know this indicates an alternator problem, but I've been seeing something weird with these lights when I start the car.

On random occasions, that are separated by months , when I start the car I see the battery and brake light come on. I then turn off the ignition and immediately restart the car, and the lights are off. Last time this happened was today, previous was about 6 months ago and has been happened about 4 times since I had it replaced about 2.5 years ago.

I vaguely recall reading on this board that this could be an ignition switch issue. Does anyone know what is going on?

Thanks.

It could be a slowly dying alt, could be an intermittently loose harness, could be ghosts

i have this problem too! i went to autozone and kragen for them to check my battery and alternator, both passed the test and were in "good" working condition pushing a good amount of voltage. I heard it could be the ground cable? not to sure but iv'e been driving it and it seems fine.
