Need shifter linkage bracket...

Alright so today I was getting on the on-ramp and I shifted into 3rd a little too hard I guess and I ended up snapping the bracket that holds the 2 linkages from the shifter to the tranny. I called the dealer and they didn't have any and I didn't want to order one from them before I tried here. I would have just welded it but it's that stupid pot-metal that is junk anyway. But if any of you guys have one please let me know...I will buy ASAP...I really need one. Thanks

My dad welded mine together when it broke, and he reinforced it. It's actually much stronger now then stock was. Maybe you can have a shop do that for you for cheap and have a stronger piece.

Yeah...I didn't think of that...me and my dad tried welding it a little but it just broke right back off with our hands every time What all did he do to reinforce it???

It was just a metal plate, maybe aluminum or something. He first welded the bracket back together, then welded the plate along the break line. If I get a chance, I'll take pics for ya.
