i'm wondering what color i should paint my car. the paint isn't in that great of shape and i just think its time for a fresh new coat. im thinking either the stock color which is ruby pearl or something a bit more flashy.. i want to start painting it next week so any suggestions would be helpful!!

6th gen orange
350Z blue

...IMHO, if you're going to DIY, and it won't break the bank, go big. Take pics, mang, and GL

Why are you asking us? That decision is completely up to you. You are the one that will have to look at it every day, you are the one that will potentially be happy with the color.

Asking us for opinions on painting your car is like asking us what tattoo you should get

I say keep it your OEM Ruby Pearl. It looks nice.

But pmohr's right its totally up to you and your personal opinion.

i understand this but suggesstions are always helpful. usually when i paint peolpes cars i can invision a color that would look great on it but for some reason i can't with my maxima

money wise it doesn't really matter. i paint cars on the side so i know what i'm doing and it should only cost me around 400 for everything..

that red fades too easily.. i don't like painting that red either. it takes twice as many coats and its just well red.. don't get me wrong i love seeing a Crimson Blaze maxima. pretty rare but im more of a pearl guy!

That 5th gen color is really nice.

If you're looking for blue, well, BN6 - Starfire Pearl blue always stands out

DAMN That Pink max just fried my retina and cones!!! So you don't want red or black. Hey buddy, go with the pearl white. That is a prestigious color, especially on the 4th gens!!!!

keep the stock color, but add some clearcoats for a nice high gloss IMO

keep the darker red but if youre going to mix your own paint put extra red pearl or throw in some metallic w/ a lot of extra clear. wet sand and buff it to a perfectly smooth finish to make the pearl/metallic mix pop and shimmer like crazy. looks like a $5000+ job for alil extra time and supply on your part =D
