Pathfinder throttle body adapter for 4th gen
Pathfinder throttle body adapter for 4th gen
I made a throttle body adapter for an orger who changed his mind and wanted one for an 00vi instead, so I have this adapter left over.
It is made to adapt a Pathfinder throttle body onto a 4th gen or MEVI intake manifold.
It is similar to the one shown below (on the left), but has a 70mm bore to match the Pathfinder throttle body throat diameter.
All adapter and throttle body mounting hardware is included.
$125 shipped.

By itself, not much, maybe a hp or two. As part of a comprehensive plan to improve engine breathing (mevi and free flowing exhaust) and a raised rev limit, the gains are more substantial. Maybe in the 5 to 10 hp range, depending on what your mods are.
The most gains you will see with a larger throttlebody is on a boosted engine with 3" piping. In that case the smaller 4th gen throttlebody becomes a significant restriction in intake flow at high rpm.
A larger throttlebody does improve throttle response at partial throttle for any engine, though.
