07 max without bose or navi: how to add aux out for subs
07 max without bose or navi: how to add aux out for subs
I was looking through the pac-audio website but couldnt find an aux-out unit with harness specific connectors aka inline. Where do I find something like this and what is it called?
Thanks
Thanks
When i had the factory 07 radio i ran my 1000/1 and 13w7 off of the 6x9 speakers in the rear dash. The 1000/1 accepted speaker level inputs so i just spliced some RCA pigtails to the 6x9's wires. If your amp doesnt support speaker level inputs then what you need is a LOC(Line Out Converter). You can pick them up at any stereo shop or even walmart or you can order online.
Here is a link to one.

Something that you will notice if you havent already is that the factory radio has an eq curve that turns the bass down as you turn the volume up. I just replaced the factory radio last week with a kenwood dnx9140 and the 13w7 hits harder than it ever did off the factory radio. Next on my list is to dynamat the doors and replace the speakers inside the cabin. They distort way to quick even after messing with the kenwoods built in crossovers.
