Falken ZIEX ZE-912 tires

I have the old 512's on my Max, on stock wheels, look great and when they had they tread and weren't so old, were great riding tires, and the ride was always smooth, however theses tires are discontinued, so I'm looking for the next up on the list which are the 912's. I just want to know how good are these tires with the people who have had experience with them and if not, what would you recommend for a good comfortable SMOOTH ride and longevity? I'm also looking for an all season tire.

EDIT: It would probably be good to mention also, the shop that can get em for me will get em for 300 bucks for all 4, which includes mounting, and balancing.

I've had them since March and absoutly love them they are super quiet and have pretty good wet/dry and even snow traction. The only bad thing I can say is they have a squissy sidewall but I run mine at 42psi (225/45/18) and that helps. I like these more than my old michellin piolet sports and they were like half the price. You definaly won't regret gettin em at all.

That sounds great, what pressure should I run them at if I'm using the stock 215/60R 16's?

Not too sure with that size but I say around 36-40psi should stiffen em up enough, I' start off at 32 see how it feels then increase if it feels too squissy. I think the max is 52psi, at least on my size, just remember check em first thing in the am to get an accurate presure and make sure you stay 4-6psi short of the max, as presure will increse as the friction of driving heats them up.

I had the Falken 912's first on my Accord, They weren't so great in the rain. But I just got the Falken 512's on my max $269 for tires and $70 mounted. And I love them. They handle awesome in the rain and turns. And very minimal road noise.

I've had a set for a year. It's a really nice tire. I've experienced less "squishy-ness" as the tires wear. They aren't great in the snow, but I've never driven this car in the snow with another tire, so I don't know how it would compare. Still, thumbs up from me.

Thanks for the input. Going to go for the Falkens as well. My 2k max has 215/55/16s but I would like to put the 225/55/16. Do you know if these will fit without problems? Thanks.

I'm probably the only one who had bad results with falkens. They are too soft and don't last as long as other tires i've had.

You arent the only one. Putting these tires on a Maxima is like putting microwave dinner in front of Donald Trump. The sidewalls are weak and the tread is a joke. Having to inflate it to 42 psi to handle a corner? Come on people. The tire is dirt cheap because it is a piece of crap. Ok, I feel better now.

I'm glad Im not the only one who's had a bad experience with these tires. The sidewalls are just too soft. I had them on my Celica which was 800lbs lighter than the maxima and they were way too soft. You could push the sidewall in with your thumb. Cheap for a reason. On a completely stock suspension car these might not be bad as the car is sloppy anyway.

Yeah. I had the Falkens on mine when I bought the car. They were relatively new (less than 10K on them) and they didn't last very long at all.

They're not bad tires for the money. But, they are cheap, and in my experience, the tread life kinda sucked. And they are soft. But hey, for around $100 per tire, I guess you can't complain. I didn't rebuy them though, because I wanted something a little better.

Oh, and this isn't really the right place, but I can't find anyone else who's posted about it. The liner under my hood is crumbling to pieces. Anyone know where a good place is to buy them, and that doesn't cost a ridiculous amount? The cheapest I've found them for is about $150. Cripes. I'll rock some duct tape under there for that price!

Any advice?
