Looking for pics of the 07-08 only Non-Bose pics. I need pics of the harness's behind the factory radio. Radio-to inof screen and vice versa.

If any of you are having your factory unistalled for aftermarket can you take pics of the unabused factory harness or if you are in houston, tx and having this done, i can come and take the pics. Need ASAP

Are there RCA outputs for an external AMP?

I was looking for the same pictures.

I want to add an amplifier to the Non Bose stock head unit.

Just use a hi/low converter and tap into the speaker wires and hook up the amp as usual.

I just happen to have taken the pictures you wanted when i did my install in June.

A/C controls on top, Drivers Info in the middle, Radio on the bottom.

Up close of the radio harness

The one hanging lowest is the antenna, The other two in focus toward the front of the opening are the same two pictured above that go into the radio, and the one out of focus on the right in the back of the opening goes to the A/C display.

Just change the radio out. Just look how sweet that kenwood dnx9140 looks in there.

Hey DAlastDON ,

I'm guessing you are using the NIRD-01 unit? If so, did you install it yourself? If so, I have a couple questions for you.

Hamchan,

Glad you're good to go with that problem, and I hope the re-wire goes well for you. I got the schematic, thanks a lot!

I bet it looked something like this. This is after everything was hooked up and i was testing it to make sure it was right before i mounted it.

The "search" button is your friend. I'm pretty sure there is a sticky here, if not, then I KNOW there is one at:

Thanks for the recommendation 1hawaii50,
I searched both forums and cant seem to find it for the 07 interior. I've found numerous 06's and earlier, but that doesn't help me.

Not much changed between the 06 and 07. The basics are the same as far as the disassembly goes. Remove the shifter handle, pry up the back of the shifter plate with the trans in D and lift it up. The clips on the top of the trim piece just below the temperature controls pull straight out towards you. So, lift straight up on the back and the middle, and once everything is released except for the top clips, pull straight back towards you and remove it. Shift back to park. There are two screws holding the radio trim piece on. You have to look up and under the radio trim piece, to either side of the airbag light. Once those screws are removed you can pull the radio trim piece out starting from the bottom, it pulls towards you, once you have the bottom free, you swing it up towards the ceiling and lift it off. Then you will see 4 screws, one at each corner of the radio assembly. Remove all 4 screws and the whole radio assembly slides out.
It isn't hard, just take your time so you don't break any clips. If you get stuck let me know.
