ok so i have a 1996 maxima with a couple of mods like a y,b,headers,00vi,frankencar intake, and some other small mods, the guy thats saying he will walk past my car has a 2005 mercedes e350 thats completely stock..
ok well his car has like 260 hp from the factory, but it weights about 3950lb at the curb, unlike our maxs that have like 3k lbs i think?
both cars are stock, which car do u think will win from a dead stop till a 1/4 mile almost?

From google search looks like e350 gets ~14 sec 1\4 miles, so likely be close

 

i know, but doesnt a maxima with an 00vi and a y-pipe do that too?

 

My CAI-charged maxima can pwn any AMG anytime anywhere 1/8mile 1/4mile or even 10 full miles. True story.

loll. well umm idk people, i know that it May be a very close race, but i want to know who may have the edge, like from what i know the 00vi will haul a$$ top end, and ill even be changing my KS, and o2 sensors because they are kinda not runnning perfectly now. nd the car weighs like a 1000lbs less lol... if i win this everyone in my hood will be extremely in shock from what a maxima can do. when i bought it they all said that an i4 camry or an i4 eclipse can walk all over it, and when i showed them the youtube video where it wins a camaro they were like its all BS and the maxima is extremely modded etc, and that the e350 will win by like 8 car distance..
idk what to say, what does anyone that knows a lot about those cars say?

 

Is yours stick or auto trans? The stick max stock should run in the high 14s this other guy says thats what the benz stock runs now you got some mods so do the math you should have a slight edge good luck. Is the benz auto too? Stick would have an advantage cause you can take advantage of gearing while reving high

See, if you have a 95..you'd walk him but since its a 96 you have to watch out.

 

Add some NOS stickers. The additional 20 hp should give you the "edge" you need.

I'm not sure how accurate it is but I've seen posts here on the org saying from 95-99 the 95 is the quickest. Not sure how true it is but hey it works for me

 

if u wanna beat a benz buy some nismo stickers, a vornado intake thing, those fuel line magnets, one of those little supper hp chips, and a free flow muffler. That should bring u up to around 275 whp and ull be doing good.

 

reason for that is becuz the 95 has the least amount of emission crap in the engine bay, with that said it equals to less weight, which equal to faster car

Take out your seats, floor mats, center console (only if your up for a real challenge), also your spare tire, jack, and anything else that isn't bolted down. This should yield somewhere in the area of 80-150 lbs, and any fool knows that -10 lbs = 1 hp! So 150 lbs = 15 HP!!! So with your mods:
00VI - 25
Y - 15
B (not really known, but this is the BEST mod ) - 20
H - 20
Intake (Frankencar at that!!!!) - 5
Also I'm assuming you have manual transmission? Thats like another 20 HP over auto!!!

So your at like 290 HP!!! You would decimate any Benz!!!!
