I am looking for a quiet performance muffler that I will be welding on to some mandrel piping. so it can fit the maxima (then I dont have to weld) or not it is not a big deal.

The main thing is that it is rather quiet Im not a big fan of loud exhaust I am more of a engine noise guy.

I have one you may like. I bought it with the same intention as you. Bought some pipe and was practicing my welds, and traded in the car prior to doing it. I will check what kind it was and post some pics for you. I also have a nicee dual tip for it. The muffler was never used, and is new, just no original box. Perforated core for free flow, so no louvers to cause backpressure, and not a straight through.
