I know our Power Steering calls for Dexron III in the unit. Since Genuine Nissan Matic D fluid is comparable to Dexron III, is it safe to use in the PS unit?

There is nothing mentioned in the owners manual about Matic D in the PS unit. It just states to use Dexron III.

I use regular parts store p/s fluid and it works just fine but i'm pretty sure matic d would work just fine.
