Resonator seems very vocal lately

The resonator on the exhaust has been making a metal pop noise like it is expanding and contracting. It has been doing it a lot lately and is quite loud. I took it to the dealer and they said they did not hear anything. I guess they had earmuffs on, WTF! Anyway, does anybody know what could be causing this change and is it a potential problem? Thanks!

I had lots of popping of metal as the exhaust system cooled down after hot runs the first four or five months I had my car, but my popping seemed more in the manifold and front areas of the exhaust (but some noise may have been from the rear). I haven't heard this popping in recent months. I wouldn't think a popping sound from the resonator would mean anything bad; just two metals that have been very warm, but that shrink at different speeds/amounts when cooling.
