Finally backed up my 12.8 pass!!
Finally backed up my 12.8 pass!!
Finally, my car has seemed to have stamp itself as a consistent 12.9 car. But, i am still not content. I feel that my car as a solid 12.7 in it with a better 60'. But non-the-less, i have managed to repeat my 12.8 pass 3 time now!
. First was at Maryland international raceway during Battle of the imports where i placed 2nd in street stock.http://www.mirdrag.com/v2/results/20...9/09-09-13.htm. I have a in-car video on youtube of the 12.89 pass, but the editing software sped up the audio, and slowed down the video?
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mNyiC_lT-asThe following Friday at capitol Raceway i ran:
60'1.91
1/4 12.84
MPH 108.4
We have one more import event here the first week on Nov. Ill hopefully will hit my goal!

Congrats jay. When are you going to get a serious tune (EU/UTEC)? Car sounds sweet at those RPMS. I want to run IMP vs DOM but dont think my car will be ready to run with all the bugs worked out.
Car is fast as hell!!!

homemade intake, SSIM, Nwp blockoff plate, UIM + LIM polished, NWP spacers, UDP, Fidanza flywheel, Technosquare ECU L-spec, hotshot headers, testpipe, 3" cattman catback, S-AFCII.
I ran with the rear seats out, and driver headlight out. Trunk was gutted also except for the jack and wrench set. AMP, TVs, and all other random jibba jabba were still in the car.
Race weight 3395 w/ driver.
That VW was cutting consistent 1.7 60's all day. The only way i could beat him was to try launching at 6krpm to achieve a 1.8 or better 60'. But unfortunately that didnt go so well. Ended with a 2.41 60' and i let up after the 1/8.
Tires are 225/50/16 hoosier drag radials mounted on ssr comps. Tire psi was at 22 {the track was hooking well} also i was slipping the clutch. Other mods:

Any reason you decided to go with 16's v. 17's? I'm wanting to go 275/40R17 on 17x9.5" RPF1's...but maybe the 17" diameter might be a little to big? I plan on running Hoosier DR's as well, awesome tire it seems!
