short shifter adapter 2002-2003

this is a short shifter for the 2002 2003 5.5 gen maxima, this decreases the length of the shifts in your 6 speed manual, loved it and no longer felt like im rowing a boat or driving a semi, it goes under your air intake where the shift linkage is, installation is a do it yourself about 5 mins.

50 Shipped! Get it out of my garage.

shoot me an email at sfserega@sbcglobal.net

Gotcha. Thanks for the reply. I have the exact same piece and also replaced my shifter bushings under the shifter. Shifts are nice and short with just this piece and the bushing, but I was gonna snag the additional peice if you had it. And to answer the previous question, I believe its a Watkins Short Shifter. To potential buyers, this piece itself is well worth the purchase and install is cake. GLWS

hey FYI.. your price is too high without the in car adapter IMHO.. cattmann still has them for a different price.. though they are not exactly the same..so maybe this one is ''better'' but idk.. just trying to help along your sale...

I dont believe cattman has them for sale, and I was looking everywhere for the other in shifter piece and couldnt find it anywhere, if you can shoot me a link that would be great, other then that I believe watkins sold both for around 150

but your product is different.. and might be of a better build quality..because the designs are 100% different!

so anyways.. bump for a rare product here!

if you want me to delete my posts..just send a pm i dont want to cloud up your thread..

...also....not sure what you meant by you were looking.. but on some short shift kits like that.. there was a piece under the shift boot..that centered the shift lever/****....im pretty sure pupppet mastrer has pics of it on here somewhere as its the one he has..

Ok cool thanks, I wish I knew that when I still had my max, I was searching around for my other piece but no luck. I think 50 bucks for mine including shipping is pretty fair because this one was alot more than the Ralco when it came out. Thanks Mist_max

thats an awsome price! because i think shipping on mine was like 10-13 bucks so brought my total up to like 65-70 for the other one.. and this one seems a little more soild.. this shouldnt last,.. dont pass on this for the free sts mod.. this is far superior,..the feel of the sts is night and day.. trust me i have one ! free bump

Couple questions......

Will it come with everything needed to install the piece under the airbox?
It works perfectly fine without the piece for the shifter?

If so, what was the point of the piece under the shifter, only to adjust the location of the shifter?

yes that piece is all you need, it works fine without the piece under the shifter, the piece under the shifter makes it stiffer. The piece I am selling will make your shifts shorter. I never got the shifter piece but bought a bushing from ES suspension instead... a hell of alot cheaper.
