another f**kin MAP/Baro Thread

I've searched and seen several with this problem. Some fixed it some where not able to, from the look of the threads seems like either no one was able to fix it or did and never posted back.

Here in My Delima...

CEL on pulled codes: P110motherf**kin5 (yes it said that)

I am 3.5 swapped and have the sensor plugged in but no vaccum.

I ran this same setup on my 96 before and had zero codes, I can only assume this 97 ecu is a little more ****.

How can I fix this?

Ideal I have and will be trying/researching

-Resistor trick to fool the ecu?

-96 ecu and hope I throw no codes? (both cars fed spec MTs)

-macgyver up some vaccum to a/both ports on the sensor and lose the code?

Basically I need to pass emission (cant here in GA with the CEL on , its an instant fail) so even if I can get a way to get the f**kin code off for a few days just so I can test and it comes back on then cool.

I do have a vacc port on my 3.5 plenum that I could use..but just one...maybe a tee setup could be used ??

Are you using a MAP/Baro instead of the MAF?

the little green sensor?

im sure you have plenty of vacuum ports available. Does the 3.5 use vac for its fuel rail? T something off that.

look at your FSM. Some ports need VAC and some need fresh air.

It's been a while since I've posted due to work and such but I'm sure you know that the 95/96 is going to throw some other codes even if it doesn't throw the MAP/Baro code.

surprisingly it didnt...it threw the exact same codes I was getting with the 97 ecu. I hooked vaccum up to it, and still same code, this start to make me wonder if the sensor itself is bad, because with the 96 ecu and the sensors plugged in, I never got a code for it.

I have an extra sensor I'm going to hook up today reset the cel and drive around.

Maybe your just using a 95 96 cali spec? Im sure if you use a early 95 fed spec, it doesnt matter what you have as far as emisions...early fed spec 95's had barely anything...
