Help!! Brakes

My car is currently out of commission. My rear brakes were shot for a few months now so i finally decided to re-do all the brakes. The mechanic put in all new rotors and pads and I probably drove it for 15miles and then the pedal stiffened up like crazy, and the car would barely move (smoke was coming out like crazy from the rear rotors). I took it back to the mechanic in the morning and the front rotors started smoking like crazy, they got so warm that there actually was a small flame on the rotor. I'm pissed now, and the mechanic feels bad, hes not charging me any labor and promises to have the car runnning up to par but its been three days. I just wanted to ask if anyone had any ideas as to what it could be, the lines were all bleeded to so i dunnu, maybe its the lines?
I'm thinking of upgrading to the I35, i loved the I30t but now its just too many issues. My frame that supports the engine and tranny is rusting like crazy, and the motor mounts are gone to or at least it feels that way with the rough ride after shiftin gears. My alternator went out yesterday as well(is this an easy job to do on ur own?), and the valve cover gasket is leakin oil like crazy. If anyone has ideas about the brakes plz do help me out.

The brake pads could have been installed improperly in that the pad wasn't fully seated in the caliper. I have had problems with this more than once, the metal plate that has the brake lining material glued to it are a little too big and I have had to file them down a little.

The alternator is a medium hard/easy job. You have to take off the belt tensioner from the top, unbolt the AC compressor underneath to get maneuvering room, and remove the alternator from underneath. The more swear words you know, the easier it is.

The rear oil cover gasket which seems to leak the most, will take you several hours. You will have to remove the intake plentum to get to it.
