Heated Mirrors and Rear Defroster

I have an 09' Max SV w/ cold weather package...

In my opinion the rear defroster is terrible and the heated mirrors barely get hot. The rear window can barely clear rain off when its on, and I cannot imagine how the mirrors are going to handle ice with a northeast winter.

My 05' Acura TSX & 03' Subaru's side mirrors got much warmer to the touch?

Opinions?

Mine work great, but that may be because I live south of Atlanta.

I assume you are talking about fog'd rear windows not rain?? You may want to take your's back to your dealer as mine work very well on the daily morning condensate of Central Florida. Granted, I only had ocassion to see ice (ok, it was frost only) last year and my rear window defogger handled it easily.

I also think my rear defroster is weak - as in low heat output. Side mirrors are OK.

Gosh heated mirrors. What a concept. I would have never thought about that before getting my max. I have yet to really try them out but will post up once I do.

I don't even know how to turn on the heated mirrors. Can someone tell me? Is it when you turn on the rear defroster? In my previous Acura they had a seperate button for the mirror defrosters. So this is a little different for me.

Yes. The rear defroster button also activates the heated side mirrors.
