Front Back Struts Springs joints 1996 Max
Hi Everyone,
OK I have had my 96 GLE Maxima for almost two years I love my baby. I have 2 12's in the trunk and carry about 3 - 6 bowling ***** all the time. I had a really bad accident this past June. My car has dropped so low to the point I can't back into a park because I will hit my pipe. Should I replace both struts and springs on the rear.
Second question: I've had both axles replaced last year because the car was pulling to the right. I also had alignments this year and last year. Since the accident I hear a clicking sound not all the time but sometimes when I turn the wheel right. Should I replace the front struts and joints. The car still drives nice but if I run over a bump the car bounces sometimes it feels like it skip a lane when I'm on the highway. This is rare but it happens if the bump is big enough. I avoid roads with pots holes, bumps and speed bumps. Oh yeah, I'm so low now I can't even make it over some speed bumps because it will scrape the bottom of my car.
Where, brand and price of the parts I should get. My father in law will do the work for me. I want parts that can handle my trunk load btw.
Other than that the car is awesome, I repaired the body already.

Try upgrading your GLE springs to SE rear springs. They are a bit stiffer and might help with the ride height. The other thing you can do is go with Koni rear shocks. They have an adjustable perch. If you run them on the top perch it will help level out your car.
As far as the front goes, axles don't cause a pull per say. Not quite sure what your mechanic did there. Clicking while turning is usually an indication of worn axles. Might want to have another mechanic look over the front end.
