Passenger Seat won't slide

I checked under the seat with my hands and felt nothing blocking it's movement, but the seat is stuck in the full rear position, I can't slide it forward. I need too slide it forward so I can finish undoing the amp wiring that is there.
I hate having extra wires

it does stump me when I can't remove the seat and I don't feel anything to be blocking it. The mechanism does appear to be working, plus I am working on a BUNCH of issues on this car.
Crank no start
Hood doesn't latch
Cleaning it up
Fixing the locks
Fixing the trunk latch
Removing previous owners crap
Replacing the stereo (no volume control blose)
Airbag light
Checking to see if it has heated mirrors
oh yeah and I run a warehouse by myself, easier to ask when search came up empty than spend 5 hours trying to fix it. Already into enough on the crank no start which was supposed to be a fuel pump...
Tomorrow gets more attack.

i dont think there's much that can be done if you cant find the cause and you cant unscrew the seat. You could always try brute force.

hoping to avoid that.

Maybe I can figure out a way to undo the rear bolts even with the seat all the way back...

I just dealt with the same thing about 3 weeks ago. Earlier post was right on the $$. I found a penny jammed in the slide. The rear bolts are a pain to get at when U can't move the seat, but it's the only game in town................. It took me more than 30 minutes to get the penny out once I had the seat on my workbench. It was almost completely folded in half in the track. Look at the bright side, it'll be much easer to put the seat back in once it moves forward again

Thanks for posting this question. It's been on my to-do list forever. My car has the same prob but it's currently in the shop, so the info will be great help when I get it back.

Please keep us updated.

how did you get at the rear bolts?
did you have to destroy the plastic covers?
I will do this eventually, it is on the list
