mines technically pretty much rust free since i fixed it all myself, where's your rust? all you need is a weekend for mild rust, but for as bad as i had it took a couple of 6-8hrs a day weeks to properly fix it
and for the mint 93 GXE, whats the mileage?

Drivers front wheelwell had a 4" high, 3" patch of surface rust, almost whole drivers side rear wheel well had internal eaten through ****, passenger front wheel well surprisingly had a tiny patch of surface only, passenger rear wheel well had a eaten out part, plus the bottom had a 8" by 5" eaten through part, both requiring metal fabrication to be done.
driver and passenger side rear doors both had horrible rust in the corner, as in flaking ****. metal where the windshield meets the roof had bubbling rust, previous owner siliconed it so had to get the silicone off and the rust off and properly fix it.
it was hard work to fix, and we took out the dents, scratches, and scuffs i had as well. needless to say it was beyond worth it and i now am a pro at body work

If I were you I would buy a used 94 GXE J30 chassis off of Craigslist that can be had for 500 bones, and put your stuff in it. Find them in a no rust area, like the desert. It probably will cost less than doing all the welding and metal fabrication bull crap.
I would do it, but getting it across the border is a hassle, and getting it all the way to Canada is an even bigger hassle.

Why would you want a 93 GXE? I thought the ATs were kind of weak? I think I would see how far you get with Nissan/legal fighting, then if that doesn't pan out, just find another car. You can buy 3rd gens pretty cheap these days. If yours has lots of other good stuff, part it out or swap stuff over like ^ recommended.
If you really love the body style so much, it might be worth it to travel somewhere that doesn't have rust problems and pick one up. I think it would save you the trouble of going through the same ordeal.
Mine doesn't have a single bit of rust on it.
Oregon doesn't use salt on the roads. Plus, I live in the desert and the car has been garaged most of it's life.

Texas has a lot of rust free 3rd gens. Somebody come get these cars before these lazy, neglectful' careless people send perfectly good cars to the jy. I can't name how may times I've seen 3rd gens in the jy with no body damage or what seen mechanical from what I could. Car practically ran but since they couldn't get rid of it they donated it to the jy.

weel im in connecticut texas is about 1500 miles away i could take a bus out there and drive it back but i cant pay delivery......i know there's a mint condition 3rd gen out here for about 6,000 but for a couple grand more i can get a decent 04.....so if im gonna buy a 2nd 3rd gen it gotta be atleast under 5 grand.....but the problem is most of the ones out here have worst rust than the one i have already....so i might just end up goin down to TX its seems like my best option from here

There are alot of 3rd gens around here that are rust free in the south.I have a rust free one, my car spend most of its life in Florida and the south. Lots of people in my area are selling their cars for $500 or less once the transmission blows in them. The engine will be good, but I guess since its hard to find a 3rd gen RE402A transmission in this area, most people dont bother with fixing them, and they sell them really cheap. I once saw a 93 SE in MINT condition with 125,000 miles all black exterior and flawless interior. They were only selling it for 2800 with 1200 down. I started to trade in my gxe for that one!
but of course my friend, i am currently waiting for my background results to come back and i'll be there at the beginning of january with the wifey. i am taking a job with BMW and Mini of San Antonio. Miami is a great city but the economy over here is ****ty and too damn expensive anymore.
sorry O/P back on topic on your situation.
