OEM Spoiler Questions

Ok i just ordered a OEM spoiler for my car, it never had one, My question is, Do i need to drill holes? is there a template i can get ? and i beleive its already prewired for the light on the spoiler because theres a plug on the underside.

Also can anyone provide any photos of the underside and how its mounted, thanks,

when i got my oem spoiler for my honda accord it came with these little screw things that you hand threaded into the spoiler mounting holes and had sharp pointy ends. so once you screwed those in you set the spoiler on the top of the trunk lid, got it all lined up right then pushed down so it made a little scratch to show you where to drill.

I'm not entirely sure what your's will be like but that is what i would expect. All and all it was a pretty simple procedure but a little nerve racking

Well, the spoiler should come with the template for the screw holes. You will obviously have to drill holes to mount it.

I does not come prewired and you will just have to splice it into your 3rd stop light wiring, which is very easy. The 3rd high mount in your rear glass easily pops out and you can either disconnect the stop light or continue using it. Just get some simple wiring taps from the auto store.

Took me about......25 mins to install mine.

Well i test fitted it, it seems to only fit one way, its contoured to the trunk so you really cant mess it up, now its off to get painted and installed.

Nice, remember to take out the old 3rd brake light after you tap the LED spoiler light to it.

I dropped it off at my fav paint shop and gav him 2 weeks to paint it and let it dry nice and good, told me $50 to do it up if he still has left over EVO paint from when he did my bumper back then, if not $75. i could get it sooner but i gave him 2 weeks so he has time to do it right and i have time till my next pay.
